About Us

The Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society (MSUS; MUSoc) is a Michigan based organization with academic professional affiliates located worldwide.  We are dedicated to the applications of ultrasound in musculoskeletal imaging.

Our next International Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Conference will be October, 27-30, 2021 in Toledo, Spain.  Our goal is education in radiological musculoskeletal imaging with an emphasis on ultrasound.  Our large international faculty of leading experts share their skill, knowledge and experience in the performance and interpretation of musculoskeletal ultrasound with attendees from all over the world.

Since our first conference in 1991, MSUS has offered hands-on instruction as a major part of each annual conference.  Our lectures usually also include live real-time ultrasound demonstrations.  Since 1996 we have used dual projection so that the transducer’s orientation on the body and the generated sonographic image are simultaneously visible to everyone in the lecture hall. We have been able to offer ACGME Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits at prior conferences, and we are currently applying for accreditation certification for our upcoming conference.

Mission Statement The Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Society is the only radiological society dedicated to the application of ultrasound to the entire range of musculoskeletal imaging. We are committed to teaching the anatomy, techniques and interventions applicable to the musculoskeletal system using Ultrasound, while continually defining its role as a major modality in Musculoskeletal Imaging.
